Jameer Nelson, acquired in a draft-night trade

Saint Joseph's guard <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PESPT008442" title="Jameer Nelson" href="/topic/sports/basketball/jameer-nelson-PESPT008442.topic">Jameer Nelson</a> was not drafted by the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000208" title="Orlando Magic" href="/topic/sports/basketball/orlando-magic-ORSPT000208.topic">Orlando Magic</a> either, but he was acquired by the Magic in a draft-night trade. The <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000098" title="Denver Nuggets" href="/topic/sports/basketball/denver-nuggets-ORSPT000098.topic">Denver Nuggets</a> drafted Nelson, who won the  2004 Naismith Award as the nation's best college basketball player, in the first round with the No. 20 pick, and Denver traded the rights to Nelson to Orlando for a future first-round pick.
