The Orlando Magic had only one draft pick in 1990, and they selected Georgia Tech forward Dennis Scott, who was nicknamed 3-D for his deadeye 3-point shooting. Scott spent seven seasons with the Magic. In September 1997, Orlando traded Scott to the Dallas Mavericks for guard Derek Harper and forward Ed O'Bannon.
