Soldier honored

Polk County resident Sgt Cesar Moya from the 146th TC DET (Transportation Company Detachment) receives his "Welcome Home Warrior-Citizen Award" at Southport Community Park in Orlando. Thirty-six soldiers from the 1st Lt. David R. Wilson Armed Forces Reserve Center in Orlando received the award along with an American flag in a commemorative box. The soldier recognition program was designed to honor all Army Reserve soldiers who served in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVHST000043" title="Iraq War (2003-2011)" href="/topic/unrest-conflicts-war/wars-interventions/iraq-war-%282003-2011%29-EVHST000043.topic">Operation Iraqi Freedom</a> and Operation Enduring Freedom.
