Interstate 4 was at a standstill as police descended on the area where Michael Welsh held police at bay near the Princeton Street ramp on Interstate 4. He was shot to death by Orange County deputy sheriffs during the standoff. Welsh led police on a chase from Lake County to Orange County prior to the standoff.
