Soccer player Bree McMahon was critically injured during a fund raising car wash for her club soccer team in Orlando, Fla. her senior season at Freedom High School. Her left leg had to be amputated, and her right leg had to be rebuilt. Brevard College honored the scholarship they offered to her prior to the accident. Bree is now a sophomore at the small liberal arts college in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Despite 17 surgeries and one leg amputation, she continues to work towards her goal of playing soccer again.
