THE BUZZ: This win marked the beginning of a national championship run as the Gators dominated the defending national champion LSU Tigers. Florida jumped to a 17-0 lead with two touchdowns from Percy Harvin, who scored on a 70-yard reception on the second play from scrimmage.
KEY PLAY: With LSU down 34-14 and trying to make something happen, linebacker Brandon Spikes intercepted a pass from Jarrett Lee and returned it 52 yards for a touchdown. Spikes was so pumped that he kicked the ball in the stands from the end zone.
STARS: Running back Jeff Demps registered 129 yards and a 42-yard touchdown to make it 34-14.
STATS: The Gators outdistanced LSU 475-321 in offensive yards, finally showcasing the explosive Florida offense that many fans expected at the beginning of the year.
