It seems like Thanksgiving is the forgotten holiday, everyone jumps straight from Halloween to Christmas before the last trick-or-treater leaves the door. Well, it's nice to see some of the joints around town have decided to give thanks, in more ways than one.

There will be plenty to give thanks for at Kate O'Briens Irish Pub & Restaurant on Nov. 26. The 2nd Annual Turkey Jam will feature free drinks until midnight, a wet t-shirt contest and cash prizes – definitely a Thanksgiving you won't soon forget.

Church Street Market is the place to be for stilt walkers, electric dancers, jugglers and fire acts. No, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus isn't coming to town, it's the Pre-Thanksgiving Day Street Party.

Jazz up the holiday at the Westin Grand Bohemian with musicians Tom Dietz, Chris Rottmayer, Don Black and Billy Hall at the Feast of Thanksgiving.

Family and therapy, the two words seem to go hand in hand. Good thing the Zinc Bar is holding its weekly Therapy Thursdays on Thanksgiving night. Enjoy a free oxygen bar, $2 wells and domestic bottles and $3 premiums and imports all night.
