E. Christopher Murray of Manhasset Hills has been appointed to North Hempstead's zoning board of appeals. A partner in the Garden City law firm Reisman, Peirez and Reisman Llp since 1997, he is first vice president and general counsel of the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce, a board member of the Center for Developmental Disabilities Inc. and president of the Nassau chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union. He also is a commissioner on the North Hempstead Housing Authority and is on the Nassau County open space and parks advisory committee. (handout / February 15, 2008)
