Levon Helm was one of the best drummers there ever was. He rose to fame with the Band, and had a long, successful solo career following their dissolution. He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998, and he beat it — for a few years at least. He even managed to regain use of his distinctive singing voice. Ain't In It For My Health is a film that documents the last segment of Helm's colorful life on the road before he succumbed to the disease in 2012.
