Golden Bloom Performs in Stamford's Columbus Park This Thursday

Golden Bloom plays some delicious indie pop music, led by Sean Fogel (who also plays in the Zambonis) who started the group as a solo project. Last year, they holed up at Bridgeport's Tarquin Studios and recorded an EP, No Day Like Today, that demonstrates a darker side than their earlier stuff. SPIN, Magnet, Under the Radar and Daytrotter have all had nice things to say about the band. They'll be opening for Howie Day at Stamford's Alive @ Five series, this Thursday at, you guessed it, 5 p.m.

Golden Bloom

Columbus Park, Washington Blvd. & State St., Stamford. Thu., Aug. 8, 5 p.m. $15. (203) 348-5285.
