Even 203 years after his birth, P.T. Barnum still affects the lives of Bridgeport residents. The Barnum Museum is throwing a party at the Beardsley Zoo to recognize this fact and celebrate. Author Elinor Biggs, Barnum's great, great, great grand daughter will be on hand to sign her new book, The Pig That Could Read, and author Michael Bielawa will talk about his books Bridgeport Baseball and Wicked Bridgeport. There will be a screening of Emmy-winning documentary Barnum Lives on continuous rotation. And, of course, it's a zoo, so you can totally ride camels, visit Mexican wolves and see a rare female Amur leopard (there are only 30-40 left in the wild).
