BlackRock Rocks Mardi Gras Features Music, Comedy, Food and More

For the eighth consecutive year, BlackRock Rocks is holding a Mardi Gras themed fundraiser based at the Acoustic Café (it's also at Tautog Tavern and Fire Engine Pizza Company) featuring about a million local acts over the course of an entire day. This year, it's goal is to raise money for K.E.Y.S. (Kids Empowered by Your Support) which provides music instruction to needy students in Bridgeport. Acts that have signed on include the Primate Fiasco, Like Violet, Fungus Amungus, School of Rock House Band, Nardy Boy, Renard Boissiere, Danny Labich, Darian Cunning, Oobleck, Dr. Caterwaul's Cadre of Clairvoyant Claptraps, EKL, Fake Babies, Giorgio Fareira, Ports of Spain, Hot Chaos, Oh, Cassius!, PJ Pacifico, King for a Day, Solistic, Steep Grade, Steve Detroy Trio, Stringfingers and Symphonic Bodega. Musician/comedian Mike Falzone will emcee. There will also be New Orleans-inspired food, a face painter, a French Quarter photo booth and a raffle with prizes like Gathering of the Vibes camping tickets and dining gift certificates.
