UPDATE 4 p.m.: Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for Central Indiana expires early

UPDATE 3:40 p.m.:
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is only in effect for the following counties until 6 p.m.: Bartholomew, Decatur and Rush

UPDATE 2 p.m.: Central Indiana counties still under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch are Bartholomew, Decatur, Hancock, Johnson, Rush and Shelby.

UPDATE 1:05 p.m.:
BMW Championship resumes

UPDATE 12:15 p.m.: 
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch prompts an evacuation of the Crooked Stick golf course at the BMW Championship.

10:49 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Central Indiana until 6 p.m.

The storms have the potential to produce damaging winds, large hail, isolated tornadoes, dangerous lightning and brief heavy rainfall.

The greatest potential for thunderstorms will exist from late morning through the evening hours.
