HENDRICKS COUNTY, IN—Investigators from three local agencies are looking for a woman who apparently likes to steal credit cards and use them during gas station spending sprees.
There is one problem with the suspect's plan. You can clearly see her face and the fact that she may be pregnant on security camera video.
"Fruit sticks, chewing gum, and cigarettes are what she is buying with the stolen credit cards," Hendricks County Sheriff's Department Captain Clarke Fine told FOX 59 News.
Captain Fine's investigation began on January 22nd when a Camby, Indiana woman got a call from her back saying that three miles away someone was using her credit card to buy cigarettes and other items at multiple gas stations.
The card had been stolen from her van that was parked, unlocked outside the Menard's store in Camby on State Road 67.
"If she wants to not have the full weight of the law on her she needs to call us immediately and we'll get it straightened out," Captain Fine said.
At least two other agencies are interested in talking with the suspect who appears to be in her mid to late 20's, with blonde hair, a fur lined hoodie jacket, and pregnant.
On January 23rd in Speedway and Indianapolis the same woman is seen on security video buying cigarettes and candy.
Investigators believe the get-a-way car is a blue, Chevrolet Cobalt driven by a man wearing a hoodie-style sweatshirt. The female suspect apparently knows the purchases are valuable in another way. Hendricks County officers say she is earning points with her illegal transactions.
"She is using a Speedy Rewards card to get points at the Speedway gas stations while she is using stolen credit cards," Fine said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department (317) 745-9354.
