Meyer, 38, has been charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, a class C felony. He was being held on a $25,000 bond at the Hendricks County Jail. Officials are considering another charge of aggravated battery causing serious bodily injury.
Wright said there were three people at the Royal Theater Sunday evening: Watts, Meyer, and a female. He said they started off having drinks in the theater's front taproom and "awkward conversation. There apparently were tensions there."
Wright said they eventually moved to the back of the theater behind the stage, where he says narcotics were reportedly consumed. Wright says investigators were told two versions of what happened next.
