Hundreds of kids from Central Indiana got some special training from Colts star Dwight Freeney Wednesday.
The defensive end worked with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis to help kids get active. It was all part of the fifth annual Dwight Freeney Football ProCamp.
Campers learned the fundamental skills of football at various stations. The children were split off by age and received instruction from the area's top coaches.
"I’m probably having more fun than they are to be honest with you, I mean it's great seeing those guys throw, catch and run and all that types of stuff,” said Freeney. "I wish I had something like this when I was younger so this is real special for me too. “
Freeney also talked about the Colts, saying he and his teammates are excited to have Andrew Luck on the team. He said Luck will have a lot of pressure this season but his teammates will be there to help him transition to the pros.
