Colts to host AFC Championship game Downtown

The Indianapolis Colts (14 - 2), the number one seed in the AFC playoffs, will play host to the New York Jets (9 - 7) in the AFC Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium Sunday, Jan. 24 at 3 p.m.

Colts fans are expected to be in Downtown all weekend long. Jets fans will be flocking to Downtown Indianapolis as well!

Playoff Game Brings Customers and National Spotlight to Downtown Indianapolis:

Downtown hotels, restaurants, bars and shops are all likely to be buzzing with business this weekend.

Downtown Indianapolis hosts the AFC Championship game with 63,000 fans and a national spotlight. The game broadcast is anticipated to be seen by as many as 40 million viewers giving Indianapolis unequaled exposure.

Recent quoted rates for a :30 national advertisement were as high as $500,000. National exposure from major sporting events contributes to Downtown's remarkable revitalization.

Get Ready to Cheer!

Mayor Greg Ballard declared this Friday, Jan. 22, 'Blue Friday' in support of the Indianapolis Colts' Championship game. Citizens are encouraged to wear blue and show their true team spirit as we wish the Colts good luck in their upcoming game.

Head to a FREE Colts AFC Championship Pep Rally Thursday, Jan. 21 at Lucas Oil Stadium from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy live music, check out the Dan Dakich show on 1070 the Fan and hear from special Colts guest speakers. Also, receive a FREE collector's edition Playoff poster and register to win Colts playoff prizes including Colts Championship Playoff tickets and a RCA Flat Screen TV. Come Downtown early and be part of the action at one of Downtown's many restaurants and bars. Most will be decked out in blue and offering drink and food specials:

Adobo Grill will open Sunday at noon before the Colts AFC Championship game. Adobo will be featuring $4 blue margaritas and $2 Bud and Bud Light drafts. Adobo's famous guacamole will be half price for dine in or carry out (perfect for your AFC Championship party).
