Anderson, Ind.—A one-year-old Anderson girl is recovering from injuries following a dog attack. The girl was mauled by a rottweiler belonging to her mother's friend.
A family friend told the Anderson Herald Bulletin, Kalieya Frazee suffered a broken leg and several cuts and bruises. She was taken to Community Hospital then airlifted to Methodist Hospital..
Police say the girl's mother, who is nine months pregnant, managed to pull the dog off the girl. However, as they tried to get into the house, the dog tried to attack again. That's when police say a good samaritan came out of nowhere and got the dog out of the house.
Police say it's likely that person saved the child.
