Harrisburg, Dauphin County—It's not something you see everyday in a city. A beekeeping couple, helping to keep Harrisburg pollinated.
Dave Arnold and his wife Sandy have always been interested in bringing the country to the city.
So they bought seven lots in Harrisburg, and turned them into gardens.
But when they started planting they realized, they needed some extra help pollinating.
The couple has over three hundred thousand bees, making over three hundred pounds of honey a year.
"They do a little dance called a waggle dance to show the other bees where to find the good stuff. We saw them coming back to the hive with pollen that look like little saddle bags on them. They`re just fascinating creaturs, " says Sandy Strauss
What began as a hobby has turned into a business, and their brand, " Sweet Honey In Da'Hood", is now their passion.
" They`re so docile. They`ve been acclimated to humans for so long. And humans have bred them obviously for docility so you can go into a hive like that and be intimate with them and crawl right into their lives, and they`re very tolerant, " says Dave Arnold
