CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA-—Red Cross Emergency Aid Station at the K-Mart Plaza, 1170 Mae Street, Hummelstown, and Worley and Obetz, 35 Doe Run Road, Manheim, will be closing at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 19, as the need for these services is ending.
The following is a synopsis of Red Cross services in South Central Pennsylvania:
Mass Feeding: Eight Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) are distributing two hot meals a day up and down the streets of the hardest hit areas. To date, more than 8,700 hot meals and nearly 20,000 snacks have been served to those affected by the floods.
Information and referrals: residents who need information about recovering from the effects of the storm may call their local Red Cross chapter. Contact the call center at 717-234-3001.
Emergency Aid Stations: There are two Emergency Aid Stations set up where residents can pick up a clean-up kit, containing a bucket, mop, work gloves and other cleaning supplies. Look for the Red Cross Truck.
Dauphin County: CLOSING AT 6 :00 p.m. tonight. K-Mart Plaza, 1170 Mae Street, Hummelstown, PA (by the K-Mart by the garden center)
Lancaster County: CLOSING AT 6:00 p.m. tonight. Worley & Obetz, 35 Doe Run Road, Manheim, PA, ("Old Hamilton Building" just west of the Manheim Shopping Center, in the same parking lot as Fastenal, Inc.)
Shelters: Three shelters remain open. Last night there were 75 people staying in the shelters. The shelter locations are:
