PEACH BOTTOM TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY—Maryland police have a man in custody also wanted for a York County bank robbery. Police say they have a warrant for Christopher Glass, 24, for the robbery of the M & T Bank in Peach Bottom Township on Tuesday.
PSP say police in Anne Arundel, MD arrested Glass on drug charges Wednesday night. Arresting officers in MD found Glass to be in possession of money directly linked to the York County bank.
Police identified Glass as a suspect in the York County robbery after receiving information from the public. The vehicle Glass was driving was also a match for the getaway vehicle used in the York County heist.
Glass is being held in Maryland until he can be extradited to York County.
PREVIOUSLY REPORTED: A man walked into the M&T Bank located at 6960 Delta Road this morning and demanded all the cash in a teller's drawer. He took an undislcosed amount of cash and then fled in the passenger side of an older model red Chevy Blazer. State Police describe the suspect as a white male, about 5'9- 5'10, with light colored eyes and brown stubble covering his face, wearing a dark colored zip up hooded sweatshirt, jeans and dark colored work boots.
The bandit did not display a weapon, but police say he implied he had one. The Blazer was last seen headed south on Route 74 into Maryland. Anyone with information please contact the Pennsylvania State Police York Station Criminal Investigative Unit at 717-428-1011.
