HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY—The United States. Marshals Fugitive Task Force captured a Virginia murder suspect in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County. Last month, the suspect 21 year old Timothy Walker of Chester, Virginia allegedly got into an argument with a seventeen year old boy and began shooting at him. The seventeen year old was struck in the leg. A thirteen year old boy running from the shooting was killed when a stray bullet struck him in the back. As a result of the incident, the Chesterfield County Police Department charged Walker with Murder, Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and participating in a Criminal Street Gang.
Once Walker was named as the suspect, the Chesterfield County Police requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate Walker. The Marshals Fugitive Task Force developed information that Walker was staying at a home on Summerwood Drive in Lower Paxton Township. Task Force Officers approached the home Tuesday afternoon and Walker surrendered without incident. Also assisting the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force was the Lower Paxton Police, the Dauphin County Criminal Investigation Division and the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team.
