A 39-year-old Lancaster County man was killed after the car he was driving struck a utility pole and then a mobile home in Paradise Township early Sunday morning.

The victim, Brian Michael McGinnis, of Paradise, was headed eastbound on Route 30 when his Chrysler sedan went off the roadway near McIlvaine Road. The car struck a utility pole and rolled several times before crashing into a mobile home, state police said.

McGinnis died at the scene, troopers said. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to state police reports.

Route 30 was shut down for 3 hours while accident reconstruction crews investigated the crash.

It has since been reopened.
