The Hershey Company ( NYSE: HSY) announced it has reached a tentative labor agreement with the union representing employees at its 19 East Chocolate Avenue and West Hershey facilities.

If the deal goes through, it would mean the older plant at 19 East Chocolate Avenue would cease production and the work currently done there would be moved to the West Hershey facility. The statement says a portion of the workforce would be moved as well, which seems to say that some workers could be losing their jobs.

The company would use part the older plant for administrative offices. The West Hershey plant would undergo a significant modernization and expansion. Final vote on the contract should be sometime in June.
