Derry Township, Dauphin County—Upwards to 200 protesters gather outside Hershey Foods Eastern Distruction Center #3 on Hershey Park Drive and Lingle Avenue shortly after 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Many of the protesters were foreign students who work at the Center. They claimed to being exploited. Many saying that they came to the United States in a cultural exchange program and wound up working at the Center for minimal wage.
Approximately 60 police officers from multiple departments in Dauphin and Lebanon Counties, and a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter responded to assist Derry Township Police with crowd control. About an hour after it began the protesters moved onto the Chocolate Workers 464 Union Headquarters on Cocoa Avenue and West Caracas Avenue. Police arrested three people on charges of Obstruction of Roadway's and Traffic Ways and Defiant Treaspass.
