LANCASTER, LANCASTER COUNTY—The Lancaster County District Attorney says a car salesman was Driving under the Influence in a fatal accident last December. 48 year old Michael Hershey, was on a test drive with two passengers, 48 year old Jon Jensen, and Tyler Jenson in a 2006 red Mitsubishi Lancer, when lost control of the car along the 1800 block of South Colebrook Road in East Hempfield Township.
The DA alleges that Hershey had been drinking and had a blood alcohol concentration of .06 and was driving at excessive speed when the car crested a hill left the roadway, struck an embankment and rolled over several times ejecting Hershey and Jon Jenson abd causing serious bodily to Tyler Jenson. Hershey also reportedly had traces of marijuana in his blood.
Hershey at the time was a salesman for Imports of Lancaster County in East Petersburg. Charges against Hershey include Homicide by Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, and Reckless Endangerment.
