History was made on the House floor as Democrats passed the Senate version of health care reform.
Congressman Joe Pitts shared his comments on the health care reform bill. "Tonight was a very disappointing loss for the American people. America needs health care reform, but this adds to our problems instead of solving them..This bill represents the largest ever transfer of power from the private sector to the government," Pitts said.
Congressman Todd Platts also shared his frustration and opposition to the health care reform bill. In a statement, Platts said "All members of congress agree that the status quo in health care is unacceptable and we must act to make affordable, quality health care accessible for all Americans. The legislation before us today, however, is the wrong solution. Simply put, it is bad public policy."
