Harrisburg, Dauphin County—UPDATE: Police have charged a Harrisburg City man with criminal homicide after they say he shot and stabbed his estranged wife. Donnell Price, 40, was arrested on Friday afternoon for the murder of Tarina Price, 33, of Harrisburg.
According to police reports, Tarina was found laying in the street in front of her home along the 1600 block of Sycamore Street around 12:45 a.m. on Thursday morning. Investigators say she had been shot and stabbed several times. Tarina was taken to the Hershey Medical Center where she later died.
Donnell Price is facing several charges including Aggravated Assault, Endangering the Welfare of Children and Carrying a Firearm without a License.
ORIGINAL STORY: An eighth grade teacher at a Harrisburg school has died after being shot in the head and stabbed.
Tarina Price, a Language Arts teacher at Rowland School, died Thursday at Hershey Medical Center.
Police found Price early Thursday morning on Sycamore Street in front of her home.
The suspect is her estranged husband, Donnell Price.
Faculty, students and parents met at Rowland School to talk about what resources are available for students.
Many parents say they are glad the school will have a crisis team available for their children.
"I told her, if she needs any support, to go see the counselor in school because I know she's going to need it because I really don't know what else to tell her," said Cathy Stewart.
