An 11-year old boy was flown to Hershey Medical Center this afternoon after the ATV he was riding was struck by a pickup truck.

The boy was riding the ATV through private property at 116 Lehman Road in Halifax and then drove out into the road, directly in front of the pickup truck.

The truck, driven by 66-year old Bruce Dissinger, struck the ATV and dragged it over 70 feet. The boy was wearing a helmet at the time but was thrown from the ATV. The boy suffered moderate injuries and Life Lion was used to transport him to Hershey Medical Center.
