A 4-year-old autistic child is back home safe after he wandered away from his family's Cumberland County home. This occurred around 10:45 a.m. on Monday morning when state police say he opened a locked door and walked away.

It happened along the first block of Knoll Road in Upper Frankford Township. A state police helicopter and two K9 teams were brought in to help search for the little boy. Investigators say family members and neighbors also assisted in the search efforts.

Around 12:30 p.m. a Trooper found the child  near a small pond about a half a mile away from his home. He was uninjured and returned to his family.
