YORK—If wine, beer and live music sound like your cup of tea, the first annual "Yorktoberfest" may be just the place to be this weekend. The event runs Saturday and Sunday from 12-5 at Sovereign Bank Stadium. The event will feature 13 wineries and over 20 different types of beer for tasting, along with live bands all on the field of the Sovereign Bank Stadium.
The event is the sister event to the Taste of PA held during the springtime at the York Expo Center. The proceeds benefit the Sons of the American Legion based in Glen Rock.
Tickets are still available. Prices start at $15. For that ticket, visitors will have the chance to drink unlimited tastings of one type of beverage (wine or beer) for one day. That price jumps to $20 at the door. Passes are also available for two drinks and for both days. For more information, click on Yorktoberfest.
