All five people killed in a horrific crash along Route 94 in Hamilton Township, Adams County yesterday afternoon were New Oxford High School Students. The students, one senior, three juniors and a sophomore were killed instantly when the Saturn sedan they were traveling in crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming Chevy Silverado pickup truck.

The five students are identified as:
  • Oscar Banda, grade 12
  • Anthony Campos, grade 11
  • Diego Aguilar, grade 11
  • Casey Sheridan, grade 11
  • Chelsea McFalls, grade 10
A statement by the Superintendent of Schools, Dan Trimmer states, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of these students. The immediate response of the staff of New Oxford High School is to support and comfort our student body as they deal with this horrible tragedy."

Grief counselors are on hand at the New Oxford Senior High School to help with any needs the students may have coping with the loss of their friends.

Friends of victim Oscar Branda describe him as a fun-loving kid who loved to joke around. Two seniors, Quinn Starner and Justin Hoffman, say all five students were soccer players for both the men's and women's teams.

Students say dealing with the tragedy will be difficult and they want to help the families of the victims as much as possible.

A candle light vigil will be held by the student council at the high school, 4:30PM, December 6.

UPDATE:
Pennsylvania State Police say five people are dead after a horrific car accident in Adams County

Along Route 94 and the intersection of 700 road in Hamilton Township a Saturn carrying five people for unknown reasons, swerved over the center yellow lines into a Chevy Silverado killing all five people inside the Saturn.

" Any time we have to deal with any fatality and anytime we have a loss of life it's tragedy but when you have five lost his quickly and instantly it's horrific," says Michele Davis with the Pennsylvania State Police

State Police don't believe speed was a factor. It was the impact of the Chevy Silverado on the smaller Saturn.

A family of four were in the Chevy truck. They were not injured.

A man who lives just down the street says the intersection has always been a problem.

State Police are not releasing the names of the victims until next of kin are notified.

We do not know the ages but are being told they are school aged teens.
