EAST NEW YORK, N.Y. (WPIX)—Police have arrested a woman in connection with the fatal shooting of a Brooklyn grandmother killed early Wednesday morning.
Jacqueline Wesley-Rosa, 49, of Conklin Avenue in Brooklyn was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Authorities say the 55-year-old Patricia Wilson died after being shot in the chest around 12:35 a.m., just feet away from her home on Linwood St. in East New York.
Emergency services transported her to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Wilson lived alone in an apartment in a two-story, four-family home a few doors from where she was gunned down. She is described as being a mother figure who kept a watchful eye on the block she lived on.
Police say the murder may have been the result of a longstanding dispute between landlord Wesley-Rosa and tenant Wilson. No further details were available.
