If you live around 33rd Street and 30th Avenue in Astoria
, Queens there has been a lot of police activity recently. Here's why.
Cops say they got a 911 call at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday about what they are calling a likely homicide.
When officers arrived they say they found an unidentified woman described as white and 30-years-old dead in a third floor apartment.
Investigators say she had suffered what they are calling blunt trauma to her head, and it looks like this is the result of some kind of domestic dispute.
The Medical Examiner will make the final determination on the exact cause of death.
