CROWN HEIGHTS, NY (PIX11)—
A 33-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy were shot and injured in the Crown Heights
section of Brooklyn Monday night, according to police sources.
Police are searching for the gunman who shot both people inside of the Rugged Sole shoe store on Utica Ave. near Eastern Parkway. It is not yet known what led up to the shooting.
The boy's father rushed his son to Kings County Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. He is expected to survive but his current condition is unclear. The other victim suffered a bullet wound to the arm and is also expected to survive.
According to reports, witnesses saw a 21-year-old black male running from the scene of the shooting. Police took a Rugged Sole security guard in for questioning, but no arrests have yet been made.
A police investigation is ongoing.
