The driver -- who apparently assaulted a traffic agent just as he was about to be ticketed in the Bronx -- was arrested Wednesday.

Derrick Jordan, 30, of the Bronx, turned himself into authorities following the incident that occurred Tuesday on Virginia Avenue around 9 a.m. as Traffic Enforcement Agent Edgar Saeteros, 35, was writing him a ticket for double parking.

After bashing Saeteros in the head, the Jordan ran away, leaving his vehicle behind.

The Saeteros was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is currently listed in stable condition with a fractured skull. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Jordan has been charged with assault.
