ASTORIA, QUEENS (PIX11)—A Queens teenager was stabbed in the back by another student inside a Queens high school Wednesday afternoon, police said.
According to authorities, the 16-year-old victim was stabbed just before 12:15 p.m. inside Long Island City High School. It wasn't immediately clear where in the school the incident happened.
Reports identify the suspect as an 18-year-old student who fled the scene soon after the stabbing.
The victim was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where he was listed in stable condition Wednesday afternoon.
The stabbing apparently was the result of a confrontation between the students, authorities said.
No arrests have been made.
