According to FAA officials, the fire aboard the Boeing 757 that departed JFK Airport bound for Los Angeles, was quickly extinguished upon landing Sunday night at Dulles International Airport and no injuries were reported.
All 105 passengers and seven crew members got off safely, officials said.
Olsen along with actor boyfriend Justin Bartha were on the flight, E! Online reports. A rep for the "Full House" star confirmed that the pair were OK following the emergency landing.
The FAA was investigating the fire but to her knowledge, there was no criminal activity involved.
The National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Keith Holloway said Monday the board has assigned three people to investigate the case. He said they will be examining the cockpit to determine the cause of the fire.
"Californication" star Pamela Adlon and Jarrod Spector of Broadway's "Jersey Boys" were also reportedly on the flight.
