A Vallejo man was forced to spend Friday night at the Blue Rock Springs Park after getting stuck in a child's swing.

The 21-year-old man had been hanging out with friends around 9 p.m. when they reportedly bet him $100 that he couldn't get into the swing. He took the bet, and proceed to lubricate his legs with laundry detergent before sliding them into the swing, according to police.

Instead of helping their friend out of the tight-fitting swing, the group took off, leaving him trapped overnight.

Around 6 a.m. Saturday, his screams were finally heard by a groundskeeper who called the police.

Firefighters had to saw through the swing chains to free the man, who was then taken to an area hospital where they used a cast cutter to free his legs from the seat, according to the Times-Herald.

He is now recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
