A natural gas explosion at a US Power Gen plant rocked a Queens neighborhood Wednesday, prompting a flood of 911 calls in the area.

According to officials, the explosion happened at around 7:30 p.m. at the 11-story building located at 20th Avenue near 19th Street in the Astoria section.

Witnesses report seeing a plum of smoke shortly after the bang.

Authorities were still assessing the damage late Wednesday, trying to determine if the building suffered any structural damage. Shattered windows appeared to be the only immediate damage discovered.

No injuries were reported.

The power plant is owned and operated by US Power Generating Company.
