CLIFFSIDE PARK, NJ (PIX11)—
Two weeks after he first struck, a sexual predator is still on the loose and that has families along Washington Avenue and elsewhere in
Cliffside Park, New Jersey locking their doors and on high alert. They have reason to be concerned as police turn to the public for help in tracking down the pervert. In a shockingly brutal attack just before 6 in the morning, he broke into a home and sexually assaulted two young girls, believed to be under 12. Their mother was awakened during the attack.
Her frantic screams sent the guy running. He disappeared into nearby backyard. Police have posted a sketch of what they believe is an excellent likeness of the suspect. And they have gone door-to-door showing it to residents. The Bergen County Prosecutor has released new photos that show a piece of jewelry the suspect may have been wearing---a string type necklace with an attached piece of circular black colored cloth with the embedded letters S E R V space N. Police theorize it could be a clue to the suspect's name.
The man is described as a young white man between 18 and 25, possibly of Eastern European descent. He's about 5'10" in height and possibly with green eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans and a dark hoodie.
Police caution anyone who recognizes him not to approach him in anyway, but to call Cliffside Park Police at 201 945-3600 or simply dial 911.
