DOUGLASTON, N.Y. (WPIX)—Six people were injured Wednesday after an out-of-control car jumped the curb and slammed into a bus stop in the Douglaston section of Queens, police said.
The incident happened some time before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Douglaston Parkway near 65th Avenue.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle apparently lost control and skidded off the road, careening into the bus stop.
A total of six people, including the driver, were transported to North Shore University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities are ruling the crash an accident, saying there is no sign of criminality.
