BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11)—
A 23-year-old passenger is in pretty bad shape after being shot during what cops suspect was an attempted livery cab robbery early Saturday in Brooklyn's Flatlands
It happened around 2:30 a.m. near Utica Avenue and Avenue M.
According to investigators, the guy was one of two people inside the taxi, when the shooter came up to the vehicle, demanding money from the driver. When he didn't comply, the two got into a struggle and the gun went off.
The victim was shot in the head; he was rushed to Kings County Hospital Center where doctors list him in critical condition. The driver is fine.
Meanwhile, the suspected gunman is in custody; no word yet on what charges he'll face.
Police are still investigating.
