Hundreds of protesters gathered outside of the Art Institute of Chicago on Michigan Avenue late Sunday night.
They started gathering around 8:30 p.m. Some sat down in the middle of the street. Meanwhile, First Lady Michelle Obama was holding a NATO spouses dinner inside the Art Institute.
Even after the rain started falling at about 9:45 p.m., protesters continued to rally. At one point, some protesters tried to make a human peace sign.
Meanwhile near Van Buren and Wabash a group of protesters rallied and some were arrested after apparently dousing police officers with urine. The Chicago Fire Department had to hose off the police officers.
The Van Buren and Wabash protester group eventually joined the protesters at the Art Institute.
