A new email from Rod Blagojevich shows he is still confident he'll be released on appeal.
He sent the email to his wife Patti, on their anniversary and she posted it on Facebook Sunday.
She said: "Got this message from Rod yesterday...It is better than flowers."
In the email, Rod Blagojevich references his two daughters and says he wouldn't trade them for all the freedom and all the money in the world.
“Hey by the way,” he added in a postscript, “what are you doing next year on this day? Can I take you out?”
Blagojevich is serving a 14-year prison term.
