CHICAGO—The jury selection continued Monday for the man accused of killing three relatives of Oscar Winner Jennifer Hudson.
Potential jurors returned to the Cook County Criminal Court Building Monday.
Last Thursday, a pool of 150 potential jurors in the William Balfour murder case were given extensive questionnaires to fill out. 12 will be chosen for the trial.
Balfour, 30, is charged with killing Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, her brother, Jason Hudson, and 7-year-old nephew, Julian king, in October 2008.
He's the estranged husband of Hudson's sister, Julia.
Cook County Prosecutors say Balfour was upset over her relationship with another man. They say had also threatened to kill members of the family at least two dozen times before the murders.
Balfour is charged with three counts of first degree murder and one count of home invasion.
Opening statements for the trial are set for April 23rd. The trial is expected to last about a month.
Hudson is expected to attended most of the trial and is on the list of potential witnesses.
