Mild Monday ahead for region

The week will get off to a mild — if slightly cloudy — start, the best looking conditions in a week the National Weather Service forecasts to be a bit of a mixed bag.

The high in Baltimore Monday is forecast to be 53 degrees. Things are expected to start off fairly bright, with clouds gathering throughout the day. Similar temperatures and conditions are forecast across the region.

While it is expected to stay reasonably warm through the middle of the week — with highs of 53 and 42 forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday — the weather service forecasts rain to set in early Tuesday morning and carrying on through the day. Snow or rain is also forecast for Wednesday.
