Temperatures around Maryland are expected to dip into the lower 20s and possibly even the teens Friday night into Saturday, the National Weather Service said.
A freeze warning will take effect at 7 p.m. Friday and will carry into Saturday morning, according to the weather service.
A freeze warning that was in effect for Friday morning has been canceled, but freezing temperatures Friday night will damage sensitive plants, the service said. Residents in the Maryland area are urged to move such plants indoors.
It will mark Baltimore’s latest first freeze of the year since 1994.
