Thursday is expected to be hot and sunny with a small chance for scattered thunderstorms throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service. A flash flood warning was declared Thursday afternoon amid a downpour in the city. The warning is in effect until 6 p.m.
The high is predicted to reach 86, with a low of 70 overnight. The chance for rain is about 30 percent after 11 a.m.
Thunderstorm chances return on Sunday, which will likely have a high near 90 degrees, but Friday and Saturday are expected to be sunny with highs in the mid-80s. Thunderstorms are also possible early next week.
