Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to continue throughout the day Friday, with heavy rains that could produce flash floods and coastal flooding possible.
The National Weather Service called for a flash flood advisory for Howard, Harford, Anne Arundel and Carroll counties, as well as northern Baltimore County, from noon through 10 p.m. Friday. Morning tides are also expected to be one foot above normal and a coastal flood advisory was in effect for Harford County and southern Baltimore.
Forecasts called for rain that will switch between showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, with a high near 84 degrees. A quarter to a half-inch of rain could fall. Overnight some showers are likely, but their frequency will taper and lows will dip into the mid-60s.
Saturday is expected to be sunny and breezy, with a high of about 81 degrees. Sunday and Monday will also be sunny and warm, with calmer winds.
